Thunder Stick Tactics was founded with one clear purpose: to give responsible citizens the training, skills, and confidence to protect themselves and others. When people are prepared to recognize danger, avoid it when possible, and respond effectively when necessary, their families and communities are safer.

My qualifications are built on more than 20 years of professional training and instructional experience. I hold state and federal instructor credentials covering firearms, tactics, active-shooter response, and tactical medical response. These include POST instructor certifications in Nevada and California; public-safety instructor certifications in Nevada, Utah, and Arizona; instructor certifications through the National Rifle Association and Nevada Department of Wildlife; and instructor credentials through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers.

Throughout my career, I saw firsthand the difference proper training can make during a violent encounter. First responders cannot be everywhere at once. We must become our own first responders. That reality became the driving force behind Thunder Stick Tactics: preparing good people to respond safely, responsibly, and confidently when their lives—or the lives of others—are threatened.

Our courses establish a strong foundation and build each student’s knowledge, judgment, practical skills, and confidence step by step.
